Entre les Murs - ZEP Learners Celebrated for Their Possibilities

In 2008, the movie Entre les Murs (translated as "The Class") took home the Palme d'Or from the Cannes Film Festival. Based on a well-received novel, the movie focuses on the day to day situations confronted by both teachers and students in a middle school located in the 20th district of Paris. This is one of the very districts whose data serves as a basis for several of the hypotheses underlying my doctoral research.

Excerpts from the film are linked here:

1. Entre les Murs - Il fallait que ... and its relevance to kids today
2. Entre les Murs - Tattooing your potential...student engagement in ZEPs today
3. Entre les Murs - Confrontation as Rite of Passage: punishment as two-way street
4. Entre les Murs - Official Trailer from Cannes Film Festival
5. Entre les Murs - Aftermath: the kids come home - back to their Future
